For children under 8, please speak to someone directly
⚠ This tool isn't suitable for this age group
Symptom-rating questionnaires like SCAT6 aren't validated in children under 8. Young children often can't describe how they feel, and the important signs show up as changes in behaviour instead — unusual crying, not settling, going off their food, or not playing the way they normally do.
Please have your child seen in person — today — by your GP, a hospital emergency department, or our team. Watch them closely for the first 24 to 48 hours, including overnight.
